Process Details

At JBM we have a team of spray technicians trained in many military and commercial liquid paint applications within our metal finishing services. Our 60,000 sq. ft. facility with multiple media blast and finishing booths allow us to handle large volumes and multiple paint systems at once. We have the capacity and experience within our metal finishing services for addressing unique and custom coating processes in both small prototype runs and large-scale production.

Capabilities​

JBM is experienced with multiple blasting and coating specifications and requirements, from commercial to military and defense applications. Therefore, we can offer paint and coatings for steel and armor that many others can not. We treat metals from aluminum to mild and stainless steels to Armor Plate and composites with paint and coatings of many different varieties.

  • MIL-DTL-53072
  • 20492051101 (Epoxy Polyurethane Paint System)
  • 20492051104 (Anti-Skid Paint System)
  • We are currently working toward additional military Anti-Skid approvals)
  • We utilize all CARC/Military paints from Hetzen Coatings

Inspection

  • Water Break Test in accordance with MIL-DTL-53072
  • Solvent Wipe Test in accordance with MIL-DTL-53072
  • Wet Adhesion Tape Test in accordance with FED-STD 141 method 6301.3 and MIL-DTL-5541
  • Dry Adhesion Tape Test in accordance with ASTM-4459 Method A/B
  • Salt Spray Test in accordance with MIL-DTL 53072, TT-C-490, MIL-DTL-5541, and ASTM B-117 (completed by an outside lab)
